Working in Partnership with the City of Los Angeles and the MCA
The Mandeville Canyon Association is a fully volunteer homeowner's organization that supports and provides for the maintenance and continued beautification of our shared canyon neighborhood. However, MCA’s member dues only go so far in allowing the association to maintain existing communal spaces, pocket parks, pathways, etc.
Into this void, the Mandeville Foundation was created to help support, improve, and preserve the wider Mandeville neighborhood. The Foundation is dedicated to preserving the open space, protecting the wildlife, vegetation, and the rural atmosphere in Mandeville Canyon. The Foundation is also working to enhance the safety of the walking paths along the City parkways.
Developing New Public Parks and Pathways
In the past few years, in partnership with the Mandeville Foundation, the MCA has created several new small pocket parks and enhanced the pathways. To this end, MCA has taken underutilized spaces, designing areas for the enhanced enjoyment of the public.
These parks are in various states of completion and include:
The Parkway along MCR from Kimberly to Old Orchard
The Corner of Reedvale
The Corner of Oakmont
The Corner of Chalon and Arbutus
The Dead End at Jeffersonia
